Hailing from the small town of Craig, Alaska, Holly Madison recognized early on that her dreams would lead her to a sunny life in Los Angeles. Her interest in Playboy was piqued when friends and co-workers at Hawaiian Tropic described outrageous, Bacchanalian outings at Hugh Hefner’s famed Playboy Mansion.
Holly was first a guest at the Mansion during the year’s most elegant party, “Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The blond beauty captured the attention of Hugh Hefner, and two days after Holly’s first date with Hef, she moved into the infamous mansion. Holly soon became Hef’s favorite amidst the dozens of girls vying for Hefner’s attention and has no intention of relinquishing her space at the top.
She is currently taking online real estate classes through UCLA, her favorite author is Hunter S. Thompson and her favorite novel is “The Great Gatsby.” Holly hopes to remain in the Playboy family for many years to come.

Biography:
No matter who I talk to, everyone wants to know how an ordinary girl like me came to live at the Playboy Mansion. Here is an abbreviated version of my story: I was born in Astoria, Oregon (home of The Goonies), but soon moved to the sparsely populated Prince of Wales Island in Alaska. Growing up I spent a lot of time playing in the woods, reading Nancy Drew mysteries and watching bears rummage through our garbage. Wanting to give their kids "a more normal life," my parents moved my family to Oregon when I was in middle school. I look back on my middle/high school days and see an Alaskan fish out of water who wasn't good at socializing or fitting in, despite being involved in numerous school activities. I think everyone saw themselves as a nerd in high school, though, don't you? Wanting to be an actress like Marilyn Monroe or Jean Harlow, I chose to study theater and psychology at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.
Frequent family trips to Disneyland led me to love Southern California and, after two years at PSU, I transferred to Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. To pay the bills, I worked as a Hawaiian Tropic model and as a roller skating waitress at Hooters in Santa Monica. All the prettiest girls from Hooters talked about the exciting parties they attended at the Playboy Mansion. After hearing the hype, I was naturally thrilled when one of Hef's friends saw me in a Hawaiian Tropic contest and put me on the Mansion's party list. The Midsummer Night's Dream party was my first Mansion experience. I attended with a few of my girlfriends from Hooters. We explored the place (which looked amazing!) and saw lots of celebrities and Centerfolds. I was most excited to meet Hef, Seth Green from the Austin Powers movies and Heather Kozar, one of my favorite Playmates. Feeling overwhelmed, my girlfriends and I left early (but not after feeding the squirrel monkeys).
After about a year of coming to the Mansion parties, I finally got a chance to really talk to the elusive Mr. Hefner. I knew we would have a lot in common and hit it off immediately. He invited me out with him on a Wednesday, and I moved in that Friday. :)
Living at the Mansion is so much fun! Besides spending time with Hef, my favorite things about living here are getting to know all the Playmates and traveling in style with Hef and the girls. My favorite place we have been together is definitely Disney World in Orlando. It is my big goal in life to visit every Disney park around the world. Two down, three to go!
Mansion life has taken a turn for the even-better lately. The Girls Next Door follows Bridget, Kendra and me on our not-so-ordinary adventures. Sometimes it's a pain in the butt to have cameras following me 24/7, but the show has led to opportunities I have only dreamed of!
Contrary to what most people might expect, living at the Mansion has planted my feet more firmly on the ground. Leading the glamorous life day after day led me to shed my need to become the next Marilyn Monroe. I am now studying real estate at UCLA Extension and business at Santa Monica College. My new goals are to finally get my degree (we'll see if it happens before I'm 80...hee hee!), continue living with Hef and my dogs, and to someday be a mom.
